Our Hotel
Having opened its doors for the first time in October last year, the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has had an impressive start with some busy, fun and exciting months. We are now looking for a Cook to join our kitchen brigade and join Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour's journey.
The Role
As part of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible assisting the Senior chefs in daily operations, conducting regular temperature checks, ensuring food safety, maintaining a safe and clean kitchen and producing high quality food.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment
- Possess sound knowledge of food hygiene practices and HACCP
- The ability to work calmly under pressure
- A positive attitude and works well as part of the team
- Flexibility to work a 7 day rotational roster, including week-ends and public holidays
- Proven ability to work unsupervised when required
- The ability to prepare and produce menu items to established recipes and methods
- Motivation to produce fantastic, quality food
- Can-do attitude
