Casual Chef required for a DIDO position, Cairns based only.
Your new company
This large mining village is seeking an experienced casual DIDO chef to join a relief pool of candidates in remote Queensland.
Your new role
You will be responsible for large volume cooking for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will also be responsible for planning and developing menus, sticking to tight budgets, the ordering of stock and stock management. You will have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is for a relief pool of candidates.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar mine site role is desirable however bulk catering experience is essential. You will hold a Certificate III Commercial Cookery or similar. You will have the ability to work long hours across a split shift and be able to stick to tight budgets and menu planning. In addition, you must be able to pass a medical, ongoing drug and alcohol testing and complete all pre-employment mine site inductions. The position is Cairns based only as it is DIDO out of Cairns.
