About the role
Stamford Plaza Adelaide is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night Front Office operations team. This position is well suited to someone who has experience running reports and that has a keen eye for detail. Ideally we are looking for a candidate who enjoys problem-solving, has a passion for delivering five star services and is comfortable working nights.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- representing the Stamford Plaza brand with every guest interaction
- ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and hotel property at all times
- the end of day and overnight operations of the hotel, ensuring efficiency and complying with company policies and procedures
- ensuring daily and competitor statistics reporting is compiled and sent to appropriate department heads
- the return of all outlet floats, to be stored in the duty managers safe at the end of the night
- completing incident reports for occurrences or issues from unsatisfied guests, any accidents and theft relating to guests, visiting patrons and employees
- inspecting incoming VIP rooms and ensure rooms are set up accordingly
- reporting on any health and safety hazards
- Attends hotel meetings and training when required
- professionally resolving guest complaints resulting in a positive outcome where possible
- participating in handover meetings, to ensure any issues are handed over to the next shift to ensure continuity of service
- for preparing and delivering room service orders on the absence of room service personal
- meeting and assisting VIPs, groups and tours on arrival and departure
- coaching, leading and mentoring staff to deliver exceptional service
- assisting other operational outlets during peak service times
The successful applicant will have:
- A current drivers license
- experience with hotel booking systems – preferably Opera (desirable)
- exceptional attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- well groomed and professional in appearance
- the ability to work under pressure and multitask
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
