Our Client, a Major Airline Provider, based in Kewdale, is seeking experienced catering staff to help meet the demand for their high quality products and service. The Preset role involves the assembly all food components for flights, loading to specification for the flight.
All flights have specifications for meal requirements. Across a shift you will, but not be restricted to, manoeuvring carts and trolleys, set meal trays for flights based on strict guidelines, assemble hot meals in ovens or carts, push trolleys into holding rooms, and complete food management documents. You will need to work at a good pace and you will need to have very good attention to details.
The position is an ongoing casual role and you will be required for varied shifts, Monday to Sunday. This company works on a 24/7 operation so flexibility in your schedule is essential to this role. The working environment is second to none. Fully air-conditioned, clean and safe. You will be trained in several different areas to fulfil your role and to add to your versatility within the company.
The preferred skills and background for this role will include:
- Prior food preparation or catering experience
- Availability for day, afternoon and night shifts, Monday - Sunday
- High attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
- The ability work in a high pressure and fast paced environment
- A passion for quality food presentation
- Exceptional numeracy and literacy skills
To be successful for this position you must:
- Hold a current valid driver’s licence and possess reliable transport
- Provide 2 contactable work references within the last 6 months
- Be able to provide a current Police Clearance
- Be able to pass a comprehensive Medical with costs incurred
- Be available to commence work immediately
