About the position:

As sous chef or chef de partie you will be core to delivering on our mission. You will work collaboratively with our executive and head chefs who brings extensive experience and a unique eye for pushing the boundaries of modern South East Asian cuisine. You will directly lead the development and execution of our food program and have the opportunity to diversify your skill set across the whole spectrum of managing a very successful commercial kitchen.

While we will leverage the learnings, systems and support of XO to hit the road running from an operational perspective, this role will enjoy significant latitude and autonomy in shaping direction of food programs and the culture of the kitchen.

What we are looking for:

You will have worked in kitchens or hospitality before. You know the industry and what is expected of you. We are a bit different, and look for a mix of skills and experience as well as personality and passion.

You will have:

  • Trade qualifications.

What you will need:

  • A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry;
  • A track record performing in this position
  • Excellent organization and communication skills;
  • The ability to work co-operatively and productively in a high-pressure environment;
  • A high level of hygiene standards and personal presentation; and
  • A genuine love for Asian cuisine.
