We currently have the opportunity for a customer service orientated professional to join our friendly Front Office team in the role of a casual receptionist. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a truly unique hotel property in an exceptional team environment that fosters training and development and career progression.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager and/or Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a personalised service and experience for our guests to enjoy
- Recognising and welcoming regular guests
- Checking guests in and out
- Maintaining accurate guest accounts
- Taking bookings, providing helpful information & entering reservations
- Answering guests queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Addressing guest requests and handling guest complaints in a positive manner
- Liaise with inter departments to assist guest and advise of room moves
- Ensuring service provided by to guest is to hotel standards
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Previous Front Office Reception experience preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Previous hotel experience in any department an advantage
- Professional telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- A friendly and positive can-do attitude who enjoys working in a team
- Excellent grooming and presentation standards
- Intermediate computer skills – Word, Excel, PMS and Outlook
- Previous experience with Fidelio or Opera desirable but not essential
- Current open drivers license desirable but not essential
- Available on weekends and at short notice for shift coverage
- Must have current working rights for Australia
