Situated along the scenic Brisbane River and among Brisbane’s corporate dining precinct, Jellyfish Restaurant is on the hunt for a Talented Manager who is essentially looking for a role working with people, to “lead our team of front and back of house operations and someone with the ability to create a positive experience for each and every customer, We are looking for someone, who is excited to come to work every day and who’s ready to tackle challenges and develop a team that’s almost like a second family.

The restaurant Manager is in charge of coordinating restaurant operations managing customer satisfaction, coordinating employee scheduling (tine in attendance), monitoring complience with regulations, supervising and developing a team above and above all championing and promoting the Jellyfish Restaurant brand, manage and mentor staff along with maintaining the Jellyfish brand.

The person we are looking for, will be an experienced Restaurant Manager, who possesses a confident, enthusiastic and forward-thinking mentality, who demonstrates an effective “hands-on” approach to team management, with a strong organisational ability. You will have experience working within a high end restaurant, posses an award winning mentality and a proven ability working within a strict budget.

Experience & Skills 

•    5+ years experience within a fast aced & high end a la carte restaurant manager role 
•    Strong communication & interpersonal skills
•    Passionate and with knowledge of the food service industry and modern industry food & beverage trends
•    Computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems and software
•    Excellent wine and knowledge, (sommelier qualification is advantageous but not essential)

•    A passion for motivating & developing teams (and minimising staff turn over)
•    Display leadership abilities
•    Task driven, with a focus on meeting core objectives 
•    Customer-centric approach to management
•    Ability to manage and lead people in a fast paced venue, think on your feet, multi-task and build strong rapport with your peers and key stakeholders
•    Proven management procedures to undertake weekly trend analysis of sales, cost of goods sold, wages, spend per head and covers.
•    Excellent customer service skills and fantastic interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
