About the business and the role

Are you an experienced Housekeeping professional who is looking for casual work?

Would you like to join the Escarpment Group with our 5 star collection of luxury escapes in the Blue Mountains Region?

We are seeking passionate and experienced room attendants to join our Housekeeping Department. Ideally we are looking for someone with housekeeping, public area and customer service background to become part of this busy team. The successful applicants will perform all necessary housekeeping activities in order to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of Guest Rooms, while ensuring guest comfort at all times.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Carrying out allocated general cleaning duties, achieving established standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet guests' needs and exceed their expectations in regard to the cleanliness of the room areas of the hotel

  • Service and clean all guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated ensuring all tasks are completed at or above the required standard.

  • Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards

  • Assist guests with all enquiries and complaints, and provides accurate information to guests about the property facilities and features.

  • Comply with all guest privacy and security procedures.

  • Stock and maintain the housekeeping trolley, ensuring adequate supplies are available and the trolley is presentable at all times.

  • Undertake special cleaning projects, as directed.

  • Attention to Detail

  • Follow the correct procedures for all lost property items.

  • Notify the appropriate person of all maintenance problems, damaged equipment and missing items, immediately.

  • Handles all amenities, chemicals and equipment according to specific instructions and OH&S standards.

  • Attend and actively participate in all OH&S training and other relevant training required of you by the Hotel

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will essentially have six months previous housekeeping experience(ideally in a 4-5 star resort), extremely high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail,Must be Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, over a seven day roster, exceptional personal hygiene and grooming standards, ability to work in a team environment  and follow direction, customer focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction, work fit – this is a physically demanding role!!
