The role?
Time for a lifestyle change? Our client, located on the beautiful South West Coast of Victoria, is seeking a qualified, experienced and results focused Health Information Manager ito joint their team. The purpose of the role is to provide effective and responsible leadership, development, management and performance of Medical Records Services.
Criteria for the position:
- Qualifications (Bachelor/Masters) in Health Information Management
- Comprehensive knowledge and successful completion of a recognised ICD - 1- AM (10TH Edition) coding course with achievement of a high standard of accurate
- Previous experience working as a Health Information Manager, ideally in a tertiary hospital setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian Coding Standards
- Outstanding knowledge around Freedom of Information
- Exposure to and a good understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and accreditation processes
Skills required:
- Demonstrated organisational skills, confident and resourceful in approach
- Attention to detail
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- A sound understanding of a variety of computer software packages and strong IT Knowledge
- Enjoys task based work
