An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Scientist in Charge Microbiology to cover for parental leave.

In this role you will be responsible for the supervision of the Microbiology Department to ensure the department is run efficiently, safely and within budget constraints. 

This position involves working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for an individual who process themselves in the level of accuracy in their work.

To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent and eligibility for membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS)
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in a clinical laboratory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience working in a fast pace environment
  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team
