About the Role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Clinical Services Attendant to join our Cancer Centre in Midland on a permanent part-time basis. Demand for our services is increasing which provides opportunity for a Clinical Services Attendant to join our day hospital located in Midland WA. This position will operate on part-time capacity, working minimum 32 hours per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Storage and control of clinical supplies
- Maintain required stock levels
- Re-stocking clinical areas
- Food Handling and supply of patient refreshments
- General day hospital and nursing support
- Assisting patient movements
- Maintaining a clean environment (e.g., cleaning of equipment and patient servery)
- Ensuring cleanliness of patient bathrooms during operational hours
- Facility maintenance as required
- Other general duties as required
Selection Criteria:
- 6 months relevant experience in a healthcare environment desired
- Completion of a food handling certificate or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment and plan, coordinate and organise workloads effectively
- Effective communication skills when dealing with patients and team members
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as a team member
- Commitment to participate in training and development programs to ensure adequate skill levels are maintained to meet operational needs
- Commitment and ability to work in a safe manner and to develop, implement and evaluate and monitor initiatives to ensure safety and optimal standards of practice
