What you'll be doing

The NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service (OTDS) is a state-wide organisation responsible for the facilitation and coordination of organ and tissue donation within NSW and ACT. The OTDS is a state agency, hosted by South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) for operational purposes. The OTDS has a functional relationship with the Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA).

The position provides expert clinical consultancy and facilitation of the National Donor Family Support Service (NDFSS) to all families of organ and tissue donors throughout NSW. It includes clinical leadership and support to the Donation Specialist Network staff and active participation in the general education programs facilitated by the NSW OTDS.


  1. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in bereavement counselling with relevant post graduate experience
  2. High level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  3. Advanced problem solving skills
  4. Demonstrated experience in service development, providing evidence based practice , and a commitment to innovation and research
  5. Demonstrated skills in monitoring and evaluation of service within a quality framework
  6. Experience in developing and delivering education programs
