The Role –
You will provide effective delivery and overall management of services for headspace Katherine. This includes providing effective management and clinical leadership to all staff (including private providers) to ensure the service delivers an early intervention youth mental health service to young people aged 12-25 within the headspace model of evidence based best practice.
The Centre Manager will work collaboratively with the Executive Manager Health and Regional Operations Manager, Katherine to deliver an integrated, holistic and responsive service to young people within the Katherine region.
Essential Criteria
The minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years-experience in a health related discipline. You will be registered with the relevant regulatory body such as APHRA or hold membership to a professional association/society, such as the AASW for Social Workers. Post graduate qualifications are desirable.

The Location: Katherine Region
The town of Katherine is the thriving main town within this sub-tropical region, situated a three hour drive south of Darwin. The main town is situated on the banks of the Katherine river and has a population of around 10,000 people while the larger Katherine region has a population of just over 24,000. Katherine is well equipped as a regional town with a shopping centre that features a supermarket and many speciality shops. Katherine is on the edge of Kakadu National park which is filled with waterfalls and bush walks. Kayaking through the picturesque Katherine Gorge is a popular weekend activity.
