Western Diagnostic Pathology (WDP) provides diagnostic pathology services to more than two million patients throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory each year. We have 10 medical laboratories across the region, more than 200 collection sites, and a team of 900 people who are dedicated to providing quality care to patients, and accurate and timely results to medical practitioners. Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, the Team Leader – Collections will be critical in our business transformation to lead our teams in delivering the best possible patient experience in line with our business strategy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their area group and supporting our teams in the delivery of strategic initiatives.

About the role 

• Lead a collections area group with two direct reports and approximately sixty team members
• Work closely with the Customer Experience Manager to execute the transformation of the customer experience
• Accountable for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of your designated area group are performing to the highest standard
• Working closely with the Collections Coordinators and Customer Experience Manager to identify opportunities to lift employee engagement
• Responsible for managing your area group budget and reporting as required
• Partner with the Customer Experience Manager and Business Development team to identify any future business opportunities
• Ensure all learning and development activities are carried out in accordance with business requirements
• Providing leadership, coaching and motivation to your direct reports
• Identify and Implement strategic operational initiatives into your department

To be successful in this role the successful candidate will need to possess:
 

A background in Pathology (essential)

• Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and motivating a teams to deliver the best possible patient experience
• Superior communication skills with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Exceptional organisational, problem solving, troubleshooting and time management skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism
• A WA Drivers licence
