What you'll be doing Provide clinical support services including general assistance in wards, cleaning duties and transfers of patients, equipment and supplies at the facility. Certificate 3 Operating Assistant is preferred but not essential Experience as an Operating assistant/ Wardsperson. Previous experience in an acute care setting or an Operating Theatre. Demonstrated experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team environment and the ability to organise and prioritise work demands within required timeframes. Sound knowledge and practical application/commitment to understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Wardsperson in applying these principles. Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a staff, patients and members of the public. Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene and infection prevention and control principles and environmental cleaning standards. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays. Need more information?
