Aveo, a leading retirement owner/operator is seeking an experienced and pro-active Registered Nurse to join our team at Aveo Freedom Aged Care Rochedale.
About the role:
Reporting to the Home Care Community Manager, you will be required to lead, supervise and educate a clinical team and ensure the delivery of person-centred care at the highest possible standard.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all residents receive general and support services in line with resident contracts and care plans and be accountable for all medication management during the shift.
The successful candidate will ensure the team complies with Aveo policies and procedures and that the Aged Care Accreditation Standards are met and residents' safety ensured at all times.
This is a casual role that includes working night duty shifts.
Minimum role requirement:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post graduate qualifications in nursing or gerontology highly regarded;
- Minimum 2 years aged care experience
- Current first aid & CPR certificate;
- Current Police certificate
- Staff supervision experience;
- Understanding of person-centred care;
- Intermediate level of computer competence the Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel) and on-line network applications;
- High level written and verbal communication skills;
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills;
- Sound office or business administration competencies;
- Business negotiation and staff management skills;
- Flexibility to work across a 24 hour roster.
