Maitland Private Hospital is a 156 bed hospital in East Maitland, 30km from the centre of Newcastle. The surrounding area is world renowned for its wine region, stunning beaches and cosmopolitan café lifestyle. As the only private hospital between Newcastle and Taree, we play an invaluable role in servicing the communities of Maitland, the Lower Hunter and Port Stephens.
Having gone through a rapid growth phase following the addition of our custom built 44 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and new theatre complex, the hospital has additional opportunities available within our expanding Allied Health team including that of an Casual Physiotherapist. The Allied Health Team has three streams including Inpatient Rehabilitation, Day Program Rehabilitation and Outpatient Rehabilitation. The Physiotherapist will work within a multidisciplinary team providing therapy in a variety of clinical areas.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Registration with AHPRA
- Experience working within a hospital or day rehabilitation setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Sound computer literacy
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Post graduate studies in Phsiotherapy or related field, or undergoing same
- Previous experience working in a multi disciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to manage a clinical caseload
