The Department’s two related agencies - the Office of Environment & Heritage and the Office of Local Government - support the conservation and protection of the environment and an effective local government sector in NSW. Several other entities associated with the Department include the Environment Protection Authority, statutory trusts responsible for zoos, parks and gardens, independent assessment and planning bodies, and development corporations.

 

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Officer to join our Brand, Content and Design Unit to design and produce corporate and program-based communications and promotional collateral for delivery across multiple channels. You will design and produce creative campaign communications to support the delivery of OEH services. 

 

As part of the role, you will assist stakeholders and suppliers to assess and use OEH digital assets, provide timely advice and communication regarding the use of these assets. You will also undertake a range of support tasks to ensure the appropriate use and protection of OEH design and digital assets.  

 

Primary purpose of the role
Support the development and implementation of brand, design and promotional activities through the delivery of services for OEH brand assets.

This role also provides services to those entities that the Strategy and Performance Division supports under service agreements. You will:

 

• Use your contemporary graphic design experience
• Develop graphic standards, processes and guidelines
• Assist and guide stakeholders to access and use OEH digital assets 

 

Essential requirements:
• Experience in visual design and production and management of photography, video and other digital assets for a range of purposes and channels using programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar applications.
• Experience in creative campaign development and template-driven design.
• Experience in the implementation and development of corporate brands.
