We are seeking a person with Legal Administration experience to join our team to support the administration and statutory process that contribute to the good governance of the municipality and to plan and conduct civic functions and events.
About the Role
As a part of the Governance team you will:
- produce agendas and minutes associated with the conduct of Council meetings.
- maintain legal registers and assist in the development of Council policies and procedures.
- co-ordinate civic functions and events.
- review Council’s legislative delegations and authorisations.
- process requests for Council documents under Freedom of Information legislation.
About You
Using your legal administration skills and experience you will:
- be a good organiser who flourishes under pressure and values teamwork.
- possess well developed written and computer skills, excellent attention to detail and enjoy using your initiative in a changing environment.
- have an understanding of statutory compliance processes in the public or private sectors.
- experience in local government is desirable but not essential.
