Due to a boom in Infrastructure projects within Melbourne, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to work on and provide document control for a number of transport projects. This role provides great exposure into the Civil Infrastructure market and great career progression opportunities.

 

This role will involve supervision and data integrity-check of Document Control activities and deliverables, including functional implementation and maintenance of corporate document control systems, work-methods, processes and procedures for all projects in the location. Primary functions include:

 

  • Ability to write and implement processes and procedures to perform a controlled distribution of project documents in accordance with client requirements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project specific document management systems as it relates to nominated projects.
  • Project Set-Up Coordination including supporting Project Managers to establish document management workflows and application
  • Quality Control - ensuring document control activities are controlled, monitored, and documented according to the developed GHD processes and procedures
  • Conduct auditing on Projects for adherence to GHD Quality and system requirements
  • Trouble shooting - Communication with field/client and other parties in the resolution of problems escalated by the project stakeholders.
  • Records Management for nominated projects (Archiving, Record Retention – hard copy & softcopy).

About you:

 

This role will allow you to demonstrate your strong pro-active problem solving and systems development skills. You will have experience with ProjectWise (and other EDM systems), and be able to demonstrate an overall understanding of a typical project life cycle and project management systems. Having a high skill level in coordinating and maintaining a document management system and substantial skill in the delivery of project administration within an engineering environment will contribute to success in this role.
