• Candidate dependant salary package - $110k to $140k inc. Super

ROLE

• Plan, execute and monitor projects and initiatives to complete design work on time and within budget, liaising with the secondary design team and the project teams to coordinate and manage project deadlinesCreate engineering designs compliant with standards and specifications
• Assist with the preparation of tenders
• Assist with project management as required
• Assist with engineering, technical analysis and report generation
• Assist with the commissioning of HV systems
• Assist with Project Management in specialist areas of expertise; provide technical and engineering assistance to Project Managers
• Proactively ensure the processes and procedures for Primary Design are constantly improved to eliminate rework and shorten cycle time
• Design detailed substation secondary systems
• Create specification, documentation and reports as required
• Assist with commissioning of HV Secondary Systems as required
• Develop a team culture where individual members are valued and recognised for their diverse skill sets
• Keep team members informed of relevant issues impacting on them or their work
• Suggest and promote creative ideas and approaches to improve individual and team performance
• Encourage and support others to take on new challenges and opportunities
• Build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively anticipate customer needs where possible
• Manage work with a continual focus on the impact of decisions and actions on customers/stakeholders
• Measure customer/stakeholder satisfaction to continually improve

• Initiate and participate in worksite inspections, accident reporting and investigations, developing safe work procedures and providing appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision
• Address any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions
• Actively develop capabilities and technical expertise
• Support the development and growth of others
• Model professional conduct according to the Company’s values and Code of Conduct

YOU

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent (recognised by Engineering Australia)
• Chartered / Professional Engineer looked upon favourably
• Experience in the full range of HV secondary design protection, control, AC/DC, SCADA and studies
• Significant experience in substation design, including evidence of large substation projects and the ability to lead designs
• Evidence of high level ability in the preparation of Engineering Drawings
• Ability to assist with the preparation of tenders
• Ability to assist with FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
• Experience working within an Australian utility and with renewable grid connection
• A logical and practical approach to work
• High levels of attention to detail
• Outcome and customer focussed
• Ability to liaise with client engineers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current Australian drivers licence
• Experience working within an Australian utility and with renewable grid connection
