The Company

This national food manufacturing business is continuing to experience strong organic growth further securing their position as the market leader. As they continue to grow sales, there is also a greater focus on ensuring operational excellence and driving efficiencies through better planning and understanding of their plant & equipment. As part of this focus they have a need for a Maintenance Planner with the ability to engage and communicate with maintenance and production teams.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager your will be responsible for:

• Planning weekly maintenance activities through the CMMS system.
• Driving maintenance improvements by implementing new systems and strategies.
• Preparing and project managing major plant shutdowns
• Pro-actively engage with relevant stakeholders primarily being maintenance trades and production to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried out in full and in a timely manner.
• You will also be responsible for driving improvements in their long term maintenance plans and providing visibility of overall equipment effectiveness.

Your Background

To be considered for this role you will ideally have proven experience within a large and complex manufacturing business as a maintenance planner. You will also ideally have been exposed to a recognised CMMS systems and be motivated by helping develop preventative maintenance environment. There is a need to positively contribute to operational excellence by initiating continuous improvement projects and then delivering the changes effectively.
