A Council in Melbourne's Inner Suburbs is Looking for an experienced Design Engineer to assist with the design & delivery of road & drainage projects.  

Employed as a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Coordination, planning design of road & drainage projects
• Engineering investigations
• Site Survey 
• Civil Design 
• Assessing and approving development plans
• Writing reports & project briefs
• Liaison with various key stakeholders.

 
As the ideal candidate you will have: 

• A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant qualifications/experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ARD and/or Civil3D
• Experience coordinating and managing the planning, design and delivery of Capital / Civil Works
• A solid understanding of Local Government Legislation and Best Practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously and solve complex engineering/ technical problems
