Driveline Services Australia is an Australian owned and operated automotive aftermarket company specialising in the manufacture, export, import, supply and distribution of a comprehensive range of underbody parts and services for passenger, performance, 4WD, truck, bus, agricultural and mining equipment. We are a growing company with over 35 years of industry experience and ten branches stretching along the eastern seaboard of Australia from Townsville to Melbourne and across the country to Perth.
We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance fitter/welder for our North Melbourne branch, trading as Universal Driveshaft Services. This position will be involved with driveshaft repair, assembly, manufacturing and balancing and the skills required for the job include fitting, milling, centre lathe, MIG welding and industrial balancing.
Full training will be provided, however the ability to learn quickly and work unsupervised with a positive work ethic is essential. A proven ability to safely and consistently produce quality workmanship is a priority. You will also require full-time working rights in Australia, a high standard of attention to detail, the ability to manage your time effectively and be willing to follow all company and Work Health and Safety procedures. A valid Australian forklift licence and manual vehicle licence are highly desirable.
The successful applicant will be a motivated and energetic individual able to work productively with others in a hands-on, small team environment. The workshop has developed an enviable reputation over many years for both high quality work and prompt service to a range of customers in the local transport, logistics and mining industries. This requires employees who are flexible, self-sufficient, practical and able to meet deadlines.
