What is the role?
Based at Macquarie Park we’re looking for you, our new Regional Sales Application Engineer to join our innovative and awarded Energy business. Your objective? To provide technical support to our local sales teams by bringing specific product and application knowledge that helps define customer design, and application requirements for large scale solar, and energy storage customers in Australia.
You will validate and design solution architecture, design the scope of equipment, whilst assessing the type and commitment of manpower is correct. You will also work closely with customers on offer training and adoption of our technologies.
You will frequently be required to offer your advice and expertise to the sales, tendering and marketing groups, offering clarity and guidance where possible.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Prescribe Schneider Electric’s offer and support client’s tender specifications
- Bring differentiation and innovation to the sales process in front of potential customers, addressing business needs, customer’s process constraints, and technical challenges.
- Manage the offer its entirety: solar inverters, medium-voltage solutions (ring-main units, transformers, medium-voltage distribution, integrated substations, monitoring and control SCADA, Power Plant Control solutions, Power Factor Compensation solutions, as well as the technical regulatory requirements.
- Be the interface between the customer and the tendering team, and support technical negotiations with the sales leader on selected projects
