Monica Clare Recruitment is proud to partner with a reputable Newcastle engineering consultancy that specialises in residential housing projects including project homes, multi-storey units, multi-unit developments and retirement villages, as well as commercial projects including hotel developments, childcare centres, schools and warehouses. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. This role will suit someone who has strong residential experience and enjoys working with a wide range of interesting designs and materials (e.g. timber, steel and concrete).
  
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 
• Minimum 5 years' Structural Design Engineering experience in Australia
• MIEAust (CPEng desirable but not essential)
• Experience within residential, commercial and industrial building design
• Experience working with a diverse range of materials (e.g. timber, steel, concrete etc.)
• Conversant with Australian Building Codes and Industry Standards
• Excellent analytical skills to develop effective and innovative solutions
• A strong team focus
