About you
As a highly experience Product Manager in Drives you will work closely with the sales team and focus on improving Teco’s market position and achieving set budgets. You will be required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict clients’ future needs. The Product Manager in Drives must demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities for profitable growth, solid product knowledge, ability to build strong relationship with peers and clients alike, and have the technical ability to understand drives application and programming. But above all, you must be able to develop the business commercially.
The position is based within our Sydney office located in Smithfield and reports to the Sales Director.
Responsibilities:
Product Manager
- Be the driving force behind solid plans and actions to grow the business profitably.
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Negotiate product purchase costs and selling prices.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Drive product launches.
- Ability to program Drives and offer technical support
- Develop and deploy marketing campaigns that support sales growth.
- Produce and provide advertising and point of sale literature as required for marketing.
- Devise and conduct internal training to upskill our sales teams.
- Meet with key clients, to present our products technically supporting the sales team in negotiating and closing deals;
- Guide the sales team by providing clear vision into what markets the Teco product can be most successful and which customers to call on.
- Plan stock holdings in line with company’s stock policies and in support of sales growth.
- Interpret plans, drawings and specifications, and provide corresponding technical advice.
You will have:
- Tertiary level Engineering qualifications is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ Product management experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Variable Speed Drives
- Experience with electric motors is highly desirable.
- Sound industry knowledge of variable speed drives in Australia.
- Ability to develop product road maps and conduct detailed technical benchmark.
- Marketing skills to devise promotional campaigns and sales supporting literature.
- Presentation and public speaking skills.
- Interpersonal, listening, questioning and negotiating skills.
- Solid product management skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organisation.
