AstraZeneca Australia is expanding their production capacity by adding new lines to our state of the art sterile manufacturing plant. To ensure the expansion project is completed on time, within budget and in a safe and efficient way, we are keen to attract an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. Within the Capital Engineering team, you will be working on the design, installation and qualification of the Solution Preparation Suites. In a medium team, you will liaise with suppliers, setting up tenders, visiting factories for testing purposes, generate testing documentation and validation protocols. The role requires a certain amount of creativity, resilience and perseverance, as well as a great eye for detail and a natural curiosity. The role is created around a specific capital project and is for the duration of 24 months. Beyond the project there might be an extension available depending circumstances.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering, and have at least 5 years experience as project engineer in a pharma or FMCG manufacturing/controlled environment. Familiarity with ASME BPE is preferred. In addition, being a good team player, having a flexible approach and good writing skills is essential. Experience working with Validation protocols will be a bonus.
