As a partner with some of the largest current Defence projects in Australia. Kinexus is seeking an experienced Senior Structures Design Engineer for a 12 month contract opportunity in Brisbane.
Our client is a Defence Aerospace leader and is currently in the process of designing and producing some of the world's most technologically advanced rotary airframes. You will be joining a values based organisation within their capabilities team, which will be located in their Brisbane base of operations.
You will be responsible for working with and mentoring junior members of the capability team to develop and deliver structural design solutions and procedures using a systems engineering design philosophy.
Qualification & Experience:
- Degree qualified Engineer in Mechanical or Aerospace with 10+ years experience
- Minimum DE1 and CVE engineering authority
- Have an indepth technical and theoretical knowledge of aircraft structures and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge and experience of contemporary aircraft airworthiness regulations (DASR Part21J, Part M)
- Previous Systems Engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to use Nastran / Patran / FEMAP or similar FEA software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Current AGSVA Security Clearance - BASELINE or higher, which will include you being an Australian citizen
