An opportunity has arisen to join a medium sized manufacturing building products Group. The Company is well established throughout Australia, has high profile brand products, and continues to design, manufacture, and sell a comprehensive range of innovative product / solutions for industrial, commercial and residential application. The company are also involved in installation and construction projects as well. Currently they require an experienced Engineer to join their team.
In this role, you will be involved in a broad range of activities including: providing technical and engineering support to customers (internal and external) across all products produced by the group of businesses, as well as construction and detailing recommendations. You may also be involved in R & D activities ie design calculations for existing and new products, developing design tools / spreadsheets for in-house use, involvement in product development projects – product design, calculations, prototype testing, developing technical / marketing literature etc
With tertiary qualifications in engineering (ie structural or civil) you will demonstrate: 10 + years’ experience in a similar role function in a building / engineering manufactured products and construction environment within Australia. A background in cold form steel design, and also onsite construction experience in the residential and commercial sectors would be well regarded but not critical. Experience gained in other building / engineering design related positions in insulated panel products would also be well regarded. With knowledge of Australian Standards, you will have good communication skills (written and verbal), good time management and prioritization skills, be able to meet deadlines, and enjoy working in a team environment. Salary commensurate with experience.
