We currently have a full time opportunity for an experienced Civil Design Draftsperson to join the Engineering Design group at Golder Associates, based in our Melbourne office. As an integral member of the CAD team, you will work alongside staff who are Civil 3D / AutoCAD Certified Professionals and support a broad spectrum of professional consultants. You will be highly motivated, have a good work ethic and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Your responsibilities include:

• preparation of 3 dimensional modelling on a range of civil infrastructure projects and perform quantities analyses;

• preparation of detailed engineering drawings (concept to detailed design and construction issue) and perform peer review of drawing sets in accordance with Golder  and client drawing standards;

• preparation of figures for reports and presentations; and

• assist in developing and advancing the drafting skills within the Melbourne and National offices; and preparation of technical specifications and bills of quantities.

You will possess:

• a relevant certificate/diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification;

• demonstrable experience in a similar civil drafting role;

• knowledge and experience of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and 3D application packages;

• strong analytical and problem solving skills;

• excellent attention to detail;

• good organisational and time management skills;

• strong written and verbal communication skills; and

• ability to work autonomously and also within a team environment.
