Roscon Property Services is one of Melbourne's leading Property Reporting Consultants specializing in the Owners Corporation and Insurance industries. We are a highly regarded multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, valuing ambition, drive and autonomy.

We are firing up this winter and looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to assist with our present growth in all matters pertaining building cladding.

This role will allow you to build strong relationships with clients and give you the opportunity to produce a diverse range of Fire Engineering Reports to satisfy legislative requirements. 40% of your time will be consumed in the field gathering the data for the reports and 60% of the time you will be in the office compiling the reports. You must be a Registered Building Practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority as a Fire Safety Engineer (EF).

Your working hours will be Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, with your full-time employment commencing in July or August 2018. Roscon promotes flexibility within the workplace which can be discussed with the right candidate, we utilises the latest technologies to allow collaboration including, cloud computing, VoIP phones, tablet PC’s, our very own fleet of share cars, custom online reporting apps and the list goes on.

Currently we have a large volume of Building Orders & Emergency Orders issued by local councils to various buildings in our client’s portfolios requiring compliance reviews, minor modifications or some redesign to satisfy the Building Act, Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and associated Australian Standards.

Your role will also comprise providing guidance and leadership to others within our staff team also working on Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) compliance reporting, see this quick video for more information https://goo.gl/jeR3gs 

You will also oversee staff working on Roscon’s Materials Assessment Reports as most Insurance Underwriter and Brokers are now requesting additional information from Owners Corporation Managers to adequately cover their exposure, as policy renewals are due. An individual with strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills will ensure you are able to effectively support the wider business. If successful, your communication skills and ability to adapt well to various environments will see you fit into the business with ease. Further, a vibrant and engaging individual who enjoys supportive duties as well as various ad-hoc tasks will be highly regarded. You must have the ability to work well independently and thrive on success in our dynamic environment.

You will be:

1. Registered Building Practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority as a Fire Safety Engineer (EF).
2. Knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and associated Australian Standards
3. Have a construction induction card (white card) or have the ability to obtain one. 
4. Have a squeaky-clean record as you will be required to clear a National Police Check
5. Hold a current Victorian drivers licence, as you will be required to travel to various municipalities in our company vehicles.
