Excellent opportunity within Council for a Junior Project Manager, Minor Upgrade Projects, Permanent Position
Your new company
A local Government municipality in Victoria is seeking an up and coming Project Manager to join the team and take on minor projects and gain practical hands on experience in a Council supporting development and growth. You will be a part of the building and construction team providing support to other project managers and taking on minor work upgrades of your own up to the value of $50k. Those nearing the end of their degree, just graduated or had some experience in the industry are encouraged to apply.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for:
- Minor end-to-end upgrade works focusing on ESM, signage and buildings valued at $50k
- Preparing reports and relevant documentation
- Procurement processes including tendering, consultant engagement and negotiation
- Overseeing the construction and building stages
- Managing defects/liability periods
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management or relevant field
- Working knowledge or experience delivering construction and building projects (desirable)
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- A driven and motivated attitude with willingness to learn
