About the role
To ensure our ongoing success in the South Australian market, Watpac is currently looking for a Cost Planner to join the SA Construction team. This role will predominately be project based and assist both in the pre and post contracts space working closely with the commercial, design and project teams. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Establish and manage project cost plans from conception to completion;
- Work with management on design efficiencies and costings throughout the project life;
- Monitor project costs, providing cost alternatives and cost reporting as required.
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar relevant discipline.
- Proven experience as a Cost Planner or Estimator on commercial construction projects over $50m in value.
- Member of a Quantity Surveying or Construction Institute.
- Clear understanding of industry construction techniques and proficient and proven skills in industry software.
- Understanding of construction contracts, design and the resultant cost implications.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
