THE POSITION
Our client is a leader in the building industry and are now seeking a Junior Site Supervisor to join their expanding Parramatta based team. The primary role of this position will be to organise the day to day co-ordination and supervision of all on site activities. Success in this role may lead to further career opportunities.
Our client are willing to train and mentor the successful applicant, so 4th year apprentices and anyone who has just finished their trade are encouraged to apply.
Although head office is based in Parramatta, it will be necessary for the successful applicant to travel to all necessary jobs sites located throughout Sydney, with occasional travel to the ACT and rural NSW.
If you have finished your apprenticeship and ready to move off the tools and into management, then this could be the right job for you!
The successful applicant must have the following MINIMUM standards:
- Must have trade qualification

Experience in all aspects of commercial building construction from start to finish

Excellent time management skills
-
Proven track record working to deadlines
-
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously

Ability to supervise a team of contractors and ability to co-ordinate job sites

Some duties that will be included but not limited to:
-
Planning and scheduling of works
-
Co-ordination of trades
-
Site measuring, maintaining a high level of accuracy

Drafting plans using AutoCAD (training will be provided)

Quality control
-
Supervision of individual and multiple sites and contractors

All necessary site duties as required

Overall job progress reporting
-
Attending meeting with clients
-
Liaising with office staff
-
Obtaining quotes
-
Morning attendance with trades on a daily basis
Your attention to detail must be second to none and you MUST be a people's person! This position will be reporting to the managing director and will require someone who can 'think ahead' with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
This is a full time position with occasional week-end and evening work as required and a competitive remuneration package with car allowance will be rewarded to the successful applicant. The position will require the successful applicant to have their own fully maintained vehicle and full drivers licence.
