You are a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor who is extremely good at what you do. You have a sharp eye for detail, are diligent and accurate. You are very focused at work and take pride in your career. Perhaps you are working for a PQS Consultancy at the moment. You have enjoyed the role and are highly regarded within the team. However it is now time to move into a new environment. You are keen to work directly for a Building Contractor.

You know that you will be able to add a lot of value to an estimating team and a building Company in general. Your role within the team will be to take charge of all the QS duties for the team. Ideally you will be tertiary educated in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent degree. If you have aspirations to work into a full time Estimators role then the Chief Estimator is happy to work with you to make this happen. You would then in turn employ a Quantity Surveyor to assist you.

You will have at least 3 to 5 years experience working for a PQS Consultancy. Applications will also be considered from those who have worked for both builders and a PQS Consultancy. You must have extremely good measurement skills and not only be fast but be accurate. To you this role comes naturally. You have always excelled when it has come to working with numbers. 

The offices are clean, tidy and modern. The building contractor is a multi award winning builder who has a really great reputation as an employer of choice. They build, commercial, aged care, hospitality and education projects. They do a lot of repeat business with clients and they pay the subcontractors on time. The atmosphere in the office is relaxed but industrious at the same time. You will report to the Chief Estimator and the General Manager of Construction.

You will have annual pay reviews and annual career appraisals. This company attracts people for long term career roles. They consider this position to be very important for the ongoing success of the business as a whole. Your skills will be highly regarded within this organisation.
