ABOUT THE ROLE

RCR Tomlinson is at the forefront of the growing Melbourne Transport Network, securing major projects within the Rail sector.

As a result, RCR are now looking for an experienced Project Planner to work on existing and new projects arising within the businesses Transport Division.

Based out of our Melbourne CBD office, this position is to work alongside the project, updating the schedule, s-curves, track costs & manhours against the set baseline. You will assist senior management in critical path analysis, identify slippages & implement control plans & programs to meet project milestones.

DUTIES

  • Responsible for detail project planning in line with Project Control systems and processes.
  • Travel, as required, to project sites and maintain a close working relationship with the projects
  • Responsible for the overall quality and delivery of program schedules
  • Update & analyse baseline schedule, s-curves, manhours & costs.
  • Prepare progress report information for Project Managers and clients

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in the use of Primavera planning software & MS Office Suite
  • Extensive relevant industry planning /scheduling experience.
  • Knowledge of the management of major infrastructure projects, and the rail teams’ relationships and requirements of working in live rail corridors
  • Ability to plan and manage complex and long-term projects
  • Proven ability to manage contracts, budgets and costs, independently and provide reports
