ABOUT THE ROLE

Our NSW Store is responsible for a variety of site goods such as tools, plant attachments, timber, gases, fuel and other miscellaneous items that are required on various project sites around Sydney and regional NSW.

As Storeman, you will be responsible for the general operation of the Store, including accepting goods deliveries, picking and dispatching, general housekeeping, stock management and small tool repairs.

To be successful in this position you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and personal attributes:

  • Plant, tools and equipment to be calibrated, inspected, serviced, maintained as per Authority & Australian Standards.

  • Storage of chemicals and hazardous substances to Authority & Australian Standards. 

  • Implement and maintain 5S processes throughout the Store.

  • Implement and maintain procurement strategies using preferred/approved supplier model and implementing Supplier Service Level Agreements.

  • Flexibility with working hours.

  • Commitment to safety and an understanding of CoR obligations.

  • Experience in stock management and control, including asset recovery and write-off.

  • Manage site orders to ensure delivery in full on time (DIFOT) and fit-for-purpose.

  • Financial management, delegation and reporting.

  • Willing to undertake pre-employment medical as well as drug and alcohol screening.

You will have previous Store and/or Warehouse management experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong understanding of IT systems, and be physically capable of undertaking a variety of manual tasks.

Competitive employment conditions will be on offered to the successful applicant. Working hours are between 6.00am and 4.30pm weekdays, and Saturdays 6.00am - 2.00pm.

A MR Truck Licence, Forklift ticket and White Card are mandatory requirements of the role.
