The Business

Our client is a highly regarded civil contracting business that I have worked with for over ten years. They have recently won multiple major civil projects up to $100m in value and have a requirement for a  Project Manager on some of the Inland Rail works coming up as their business grows. This business has an enviable record when it comes to delivering projects to budget, on time and safely. They are the standard that most civil contractors compare themselves to and unlike most do have Tier One systems.
 

The Role 

The role reports to and works closely with the Operations Manager. As the company has grown they have established clearly defined career paths and offers excellent opportunities to progress in your career. The company has clear expectations in the role and will set these early on. You will receive excellent training with an established mentoring programme in house that they use to develop all levels of staff.
 
 
The company works on civil projects over $50m range and specialises in civil, Rail and Water projects. With low employee turnover they are known as paying a market high rate for their engineers and management staff. You will work with highly experience Supervisors and Superintendents.
 

To be successful in this role you should have;

• run at least one $50m civil project to completion or have the ability to
• ideally have run a complex civil project
• strong leader managing a team of professionals
• high safety focused ensuring that you get people home to their families safely
• strong understanding of budgets
• excellent programming skills
• able to identify key talent for your team
• driven by success
• highly developed client liaison skills

 

Remuneration
 
This role is paying a market high base salary for the right person and this company also has an urgent need for engineers as these projects come on line. With a proven track record in project delivery and ability to build a strong team this is an opportunity not to be missed.
