An opportunity has just arisen for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join a well established and highly regarded National Construction group, based in their Canberra head office. They have built their reputation on the delivery of high quality projects/services and promote a "zero harm" culture. Their project portfolio is impressive and includes solar, wind, electrical and Power Infrastructure Projects. 

As the SHEQ Manager, you will be the key person in lead and manage the health & safety, quality and environmental operations and obligations of the business, including company compliance with the FSC (Federal Safety Commission), ISO 14001, ISO9901 and AS4801. This role will sit across the company but will be a hands-on role within the business, maintaining a visible presence across the operations.

Other area's of responsibility include;

• Promote continuous improvement across all areas of Quality, Health Safety and Environmental,
• Maintain the Integrated Management System 
• Represent the client at tender briefings/interviews
• Coordinate and manage all audits
• Conduct site safety reviews and maintain visibility
• Monthly reporting of SHEQ activities
• Manage and address all NCR's and SWM's
• Lead and coordinate all new SHEQ initiatives across the business
• Coordinate and chair all safety meetings
• Prepare tender responses for SHEQ matters
• Manage all rehabilitation responsibilities for the business

REQUIREMENTS & REWARDS

This role will suit someone with a strong background in health & safety, quality and environmental in the construction industry who is able to understand operational responsibilities as well as corporate responsibilities. Your presentation levels will also be important as the successful person will be a face of the business, working with clients, representing the business at tender meetings and being a person of high influence in the business.

To secure this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in OH&S, current first aid qualifications, training experience and have held a similar role in the construction industry. This role offers an immediate commencement and the salary package offered will be commensurate with experience.
