This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds – supporting the delivery of complex major oil and gas infrastructure projects whilst working from a Melbourne CBD office as part of this client-side commercial team with excellent work-life balance.
We are seeking a Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to support the major projects arm of this leading Australian utility business.
You will be involved in all aspects of commercial management including:
- Procurement – tender preparation, evaluation and contract negotiations
- Contract Management – commercial analysis of payment schedules and claims / variations, progress payments, extensions of time etc
- Stakeholder Management – working with appointed contractors to monitor progress, identify risk and track costs against plans, reporting back to commercial management team.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven success in a similar QS / commercial / contract management role the construction sector, ideally with exposure to oil and gas projects
- Working knowledge of applicable contract law and relevant legislation
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
