ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client who is located in the Greater Dandenong Area supplies integrated solutions including material supply, tip truck and plant hire, material supply and clean fill sites.

THE ROLE:

As a Sales Area Manager you will be responsible for establishing key relationships with new and prospective clients. While also maintaining existing customer satisfaction and focussing on maximising profit revenue streams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will ensure that the following

  • Ensure key strategies and plans outlining key customers and projects with the area are implemented and actioned as directed by the Sales Manager;
  • Build and develop long term relationships with key customers, tips and quarries to achieve sales results;
  • Identify new opportunities for business and present to the Sales Manager;
  • Ensure the accuracy of job information and weekly sales reports are complete
  • Follow all sales processes and procedures ensuring sales are executed
  • Ensure business systems such as CRM and OMS are effectively utilised in accordance with procedures and practices
  • Identify and understand upcoming developments within the area; and
  • Actively engage customers across current opportunities.
  • Ensure credit approvals are gained prior to provision of services to any customer on a credit account;
  • Ensure rates and conditions are accurate and appropriately approved to avoid credits and disputes;
  • Assist with credit resolutions and customer disputes;
  • Present recommendations of high risk customers to management; and
  • Ensure reviews of invoices and payment information is completed to ensure timely invoices, payments and financial reporting.
  • Ensure customer and contractor communication is maintained at the highest level;
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are fully completed on a daily basis (i.e. rate approvals, material variations and quotes)
  • Ensure appropriate records of quote acceptance, rate approvals and various are maintained;
  • Effectively communicate job resource requirements to operations, including job duration forecasts;

REQUIRED SKILLSETS:

To competently perform the position of Sales Area Manager you will have a proven track record within being a sales area manager for a business. While not essential some exposure to plant hire and equipment would be advantageous.
