Our client is the leading publisher in regional Queensland and Northern New South Wales, with a publishing footprint from Mackay to Coffs Harbour, they connect with over 1 million consumers every week.  Their portfolio includes 12 daily newspapers, more than 56 non-daily newspapers and an online Regional News Network of over 25 websites. Their titles represent over half of all regional daily newspapers sold in Queensland and they have 9 out of 10 of the fastest growing regional daily titles in our market. 

We are currently seeking some fantastic sales oriented outbound agents to join our telesales team.  We are looking to hire agents who have previously worked in a telesales environment, who can help grow our home delivery and digital subscriber base, and work autonomously. You will be selling various discounted subscriptions to new and lapsed customers across 12 daily newspapers.  This is a casual role, with varied shifts, working between the hours 11.00am – 7.00pm Monday to Friday offering a minimum of 20 hours per week.  

As well as an hourly rate, there will also be an opportunity to earn generous incentives based on results.  You will be required to have a strong sales mindset, understand a genuine objection handling process, be KPI driven and be willing to ask for the sale. 

Skills required include:

• Previous telesales experience necessary
• Strong telephone presence 
• Ability to achieve and exceed daily call and sales targets
• Ability to understand and overcome objections
• Excellent customer service skills
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
