The role:
This role is responsible for developing and implementing global operational risk strategies for the business with a focus on trading. This role is focussed on the front office and is responsible for establishing and building strong risk assessments, change management practices, internal risk monitoring and reporting infrastructure, targeted reviews, controls assurance and external monitoring programmes. You will also provide leadership on technology projects that affect the business and develop global best practice as it relates to operational risk.

The role will monitor and develop metrics and controls and then provide the business with dashboards and reports to show the risk indicators. These reports will be seen globally and you will also work globally in conducting risk assessments, on high risk and targeted areas. You will track internal events for root cause trends and identify external events for lessons learned opportunities. 


The ideal profile:
You must want to pursuit in Investment Management. You will ideally have a degree or an advanced degree with at least 3 years working within a controls or risk related role with exposure to setting up, developing and evolving operational risk, compliance or controls programmes within a large international business. You will understand how the front office of an Investment Manager works, and processes behind trades and general operations. You will be able to turn complex risk concepts into real business decisions and have a mix of technical and commercial understanding. You will need to be great at building relationships across your stakeholder group, as this will be essential to your success.
