MoneyPlace is a fast growing fintech looking to hire a Lending Specialist to join our vibrant and passionate origination team.

You will be taking charge of all facets of loan origination for our customers.  You will enjoy variety in a role that allows you to nurture sales leads, conduct credit assessments and manage a portfolio of customers.

The role is based at the Stone&Chalk fintech hub in the Docklands, Vic.

Responsibilities

• Provide a delightful experience to customers looking to take out personal loans

• Contact leads and nurture prospective borrowers to increase applications volumes.  

• Proactively manage a sales funnel and follow up sales leads and opportunities to completion

• Manage risk by accurately assessing personal loan applications

• Educate customers about borrowing and ensure the product is suitable for their needs

• Provide exceptional servicing support to customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications or existing loans  

• From time to time, support the broader business in initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and customer satisfaction

Experience

• The ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years experience in consumer finance sales and preferably been exposed to risk-based pricing methods and underwriting.

• In that time, you've built a track record of achieving sales results and providing quality customer service  

• Exposure to consumer lending and credit assessments would be an advantage

• Knowledge around product disclosure and financials services practices are highly valued. Additionally, exposure to regulatory frameworks such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), NCCP Act, and FSRA is seen as advantageous

• Tertiary education in a business related discipline is also an advantage
