APRA is seeking a Manager to lead our Authorised Deposit-taking Institutions (ADI) Strategic Intelligence team within the Data Analytics branch of the Risk and Data Analytics Division. ADI Strategic Intelligence supports APRA’s core functions through the provision of forward-looking analytics and intelligence, driving risk-based supervisory judgements and strategic decisions.

The Manager will lead a large team responsible for analysing, assessing and reporting on risks and key trends that could impact the banking industry’s prudential position and APRA’s activities. This includes delivering high quality analysis and information to both internal and external audiences.

The Manager role involves leading a high-performing team and is responsible for managing priorities and planning activities in order to meet the strategic objectives for the team. You will have a broad range of key stakeholders including a number of internal teams (particularly our risk and supervision teams) and have demonstrated experience of partnering to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Within APRA the Data Analytics team leads the way by providing reporting and forward looking analytics to help drive well-informed supervision and strategic decisions. In order to deliver this the team collects and distributes data both internally within APRA and externally to the other agencies and the industry.
