I am currently assisting a diversified global financial services business who are looking for a superannuation compliance specialist to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be broad with exposure across the APAC region and will have exposure to senior management throughout the organisation. As such, the role will be responsible for:
- Provide technical day to day compliance advice and support to the business in respect of compliance matters while fostering a strong culture of compliance in the company
- Development maintainance and review of compliance policies and procedures
- Maintain a compliance monitoring program/system to record and oversee timely completion of compliance obligations
- Undertake compliance monitoring and compliance audits, both internally and of external service providers.
- Identify, investigate, and report on compliance breaches, potential breaches and other events
- Prepare regular compliance reports to clients and trustees, internal boards and committees
- Keep abreast of legislative changes, especially superannuation and disclosure requirements in the Corporations Act and industry standards, and liaise with vendors and internal staff to ensure changes are implemented.
To be successful in this position you will be required to have the following experience:
- RG 146 accredited with a strong knowledge of superannuation practices and superannuation legislation
- Tertiary qualifications in Financial Services, Law or a relevant field
- ASFA 100 and Diploma in Superannuation Management
- At least 5 years’ experience in Superannuation Compliance or a related area
