Portfolio Funding specialises in the financing and acquiring of third party originated debt portfolios across many different asset classes.
The Role
The responsibility of the Portfolio Funding Manager is to assist the Senior Managers to ensure that the vision, values and strategies of the group are upheld whilst driving and managing business growth.
Responsibilities of the role include origination, negotiation, execution and management of structured financing solutions for wholesale funding programs. This includes business development, client relationship management, risk assessment of servicers and debt portfolios, performing due diligence, obtaining internal credit approvals, and assisting in the development and review of bespoke transaction legal documentation.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Preferably the successful applicant will have legal and accounting knowledge relating to financing structures, experience in the management of corporate/structured finance transactions, understanding of securitisation, capital markets and/or corporate lending.
You will have tertiary qualifications in management, finance, accounting, law or a related discipline along with 2 to 5 years Business Banking experience managing large commercial transactions or 12 months experience in the origination, structuring and management of securitisation, corporate/structured finance or project finance transactions. Post graduate finance qualifications are highly desirable.
In addition the ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent excel modelling skills with proven ability to extract data and build reports confidently.
- Well-developed report writing and presentation skills via, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong verbal and writing communication skills and an ability to build relationships with all levels of the business.
- Innovative approach to and professional focus on the implentation of continuous improvement.
