This company are a global bank based in Sydney who are head quartered in the Asia Pacific region and are a provider for a range of financial solutions such a trade finance, bilateral and syndicated lending to corporate and institutional clients, both locally and overseas
Your new role
You will be responsible for assisting in the daily production and review of risk management reports, generation of regular reporting to Head Office and APRA, handling the banks’ risk system and conducting analysis on financial positions as needed within their market risk area. You will measure and monitor balance sheet risk for the Branch, including interest rates, FX and liquidity. You will also responsible for regular and ad hoc reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as managing the administration of the Branch Risk Committee.
You will look to strengthen the overall risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. CPS 220) and alignment with industry best practices. You will perform stress and scenario testing and look at VAR of the portfolio and report on these, providing insightful analysis to management.
What you'll need to succeed
You have over 5 years working in market risk role within a banking environment and a sound understanding of financial markets. You have strong analytical skills and will be quantitative in nature and have a high level of accuracy in your work. Crucial to the role are strong Excel VBA skills and mandarin language skills.
