The Company

A rare opportunity has arisen with a small to medium sized Financial Services business within Sydney, CBD. Due to internal movements within the organization there is a need for a proactive and driven financial accountant to hit the ground running and join a high performing finance team to contribute to business growth. This company has great corporate culture and a number of development opportunities.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

• The preparation of financial statements for joint ventures and overseas group entities and creating management reports.
• You will also assist with the month end process including balance sheet reconciliations, journal posting, tax compliance and other ad-hoc duties
• You will work closely with internal/ external auditors
• Prepare monthly reporting analysis to help performance improvements.

This role has come about due to the end of the financial year, however there may be long term opportunities or the right candidate with demonstrated skills & experience.

Your Profile

This role would be suitable for either a Big 4 Chartered Accountant looking to make their first move into financial services. CPA qualified (or nearing completion) applicants is desirable with at least 3 years experience in a similar role.

The use of Large ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) is essential with excellent written & verbal skills to liaise with all levels of management.
